Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra is celebrating her 32nd birthday today (22-10-2020) and we wish her all the happiness in the world on behalf of her fans and friends. On this occasion, we are going to shed some light on the personal life and acting career of the Bollywood diva.
As per her Instagram timeline, Parineeti is currently chilling outside the country and is in “DND” mode – that’s what she wrote in her recent post.
As for Parineeti Chopra’s Bollywood career, she debuted in in the film industry in 2011 with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl movie and since then she has been one of the top artists of the Indian film industry.
Over the years, she has smitten her fans with her skills and choice of films such as Ishaqzaade, Kesari, Meri Pyaari Bindu, and many others.
Parineeti Chopra’s Personal Life
Born in Ambala on October 22, 1988, Parineeti’s father Pawan Chopra is a businessman and mother Reena, a homemaker. She has two brothers and is trained in Hindustani classical music.
Parineeti studied at Convent of Jesus and Mary in Ambala and later moved to London to receive a triple honors degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School. In different interviews, she has confessed that she always aspired to be an investment banker and, in her own words, is an “accidental actor.”
When the economic recession kicked in, Parineeti Chopra came back to India in 2009 and joined Yash Raj Films as a publicist. Director Maneesh Sharma of Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl was casting for the film when Parineeti went for a dummy audition and was selected. She later signed a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films.
Parineeti Chopra’s Film Career
Parineeti made an impressive debut as the brash, loud mouthed Dimple Chaddha in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl in 2011. She had a small role and shared screen with three other Bollywood actresses, but she was noticed and the role earned her a number of Best Debut awards, including at the Filmfare, Stardust and IIFA shows.
There was no looking back for Parineeti as she continued her winning streak with her second film Ishaqzaade (2012). Her portrayal of feisty Muslim girl Zoya pleased critics and audiences alike and she won the National Film Award – Special Mention at the 60th National Film Awards.
In her third film Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), Parineeti portrayed the role of an outspoken, small town girl Gayatri. Though the film did average business at the box office, the actress was singled out for praise.
Audiences loved Parineeti in the role of a mad scientist in 2014’s Hasee Toh Phasee produced by Dharma Productions.
She did a wonderful job as a shoe sales girl in Habib Faisal’s Daawat-E-Ishq, also released in 2014.
Also in 2014, Parineeti Chopra was seen in Shaad Ali’s Kill Dil, with Ranveer Singh and Pakistani actor Ali Zafar, but the film failed to make a mark at the box office.
Apart from films, Parineeti is a regular on ramps during fashion shows.
In 2015, the actress was seen in the web series Man’s World, a quirky take on gender discrimination.
In 2016, she wowed everyone with her physical transformation. It was hard to take eyes off her.
The actress was seen in a special number, Janeman Aah with Varun Dhawan in Dishoom.
The actress also featured in Meri Pyaari Bindu with Ayushmann Khurrana in 2017.
In 2018, Parineeti was seen in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Namaste England, co-starring Arjun Kapoor. The film is the second installment of the 2007 film Namastey London.
Parineeti Chopra, along with her cousin Priyanka Chopra also dubbed for the Hindi rendition of Disney’s Frozen 2. The film released in November last year.
Parineeti Chopra is currently busy with the preparations of the Saina Nehwal biopic, in which she will play the titular role. She will also be seen in the Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train.
