See Prime, the entertainment platform launched by SEEME Productions, has released its latest short feature film Ride.

It is an intense story, highlighting a big social evil – domestic abuse. Ride is an idea of saying a lot about this social issue without actually saying anything.

The film brings forth inspiration for bringing other social issues on the widely expanding digital media.

See Prime, in a short period of time, has managed to provide audiences with high-quality entertainment and content-oriented films. It is providing a platform for both proven and new filmmakers to showcase their talent.

Ride stars Najaf Bilgrami and Bakhtawar Mazhar as the main leads. It has been penned and directed by the legend Mr. Bilgrami himself.

Talking about the short feature the director said, “What is a conversation? Does it entail usage of language? Does language mean you have to use words? Do words have meaning? Sometimes a lot is said without actually saying anything. Sometimes nothing can be done, even though everything has been said.”

The story of the film follows a middle-aged woman who is a victim of domestic violence and she is hiding it from the world.

Several women in Pakistan are oppressed and have to face domestic abuse. The film not only highlights this social evil but also sends across a strong message.

It was an amazing journey to collaborate with the talented Najaf Bilgrami once again to highlight such an important issue that lingers as terror for many women of Pakistan, said Seemeen Naveed, the executive producer of the short film.

Ride is a portrayal of domestic abuse visually more than verbally; it’s a simple execution that has a powering effect, and we hope to get the message across to our audience.”
